South African Yellow Rice

Long grain rice (200g)

Place in Bowl.

Water

Pour over rice to well cover and stir.
Replace water every 5 minutes until it has been changed 5 times.

Butter (50 g)

Add to pan.
Rinse rice one final time and stir into butter.

Water (500 ml boiling)
Black raisins (50g)
Sugar (1 tbp soft brown)
Turmeric (1½ tsp ground)
Cinnamon (½ tsp ground
Salt (½ tsp)

Add to pan & stir.
Simmer for 20 minutes.
Drain.
