Ginger (3 cm fresh, peeled)
Green Chillis (3)
Kashmiri chillies (10) or 2 tsp Cayenne pepper
Garlic (4 cloves)
Onion (2 medium)

Put in food processor & process.

 

Place mixture in pan on medium heat.
Sauté gently for 20 minutes.

Cloves (3)
Green cardamoms (4)
Cinnamon (2.5 cm)
Coriander seeds (1½ tsp)
Turmeric powder (¼ tsp)

Add.
Stir well and continue cooking for another minute.

Beef (700g chuck steak in small pieces)
Salt (1 tsp)

Add and stir.
Cover & cook gently on a medium heat for 10 minutes.
Remove cover & cook stiring continuously until semi-dry. About 5 minutes.

Plums (200g de-stoned and finely chopped)
Coriander leaves (2 tbp chopped)
Beef stock (100ml)

Add & stir.
Cover.
Bring to the boil & simmer over a low heat for 1 hour.

Plums (200g de-stoned and cut into wedges)

Add & stir.
Simmer uncovered over a low heat until meat is tender.
Around 45 minutes.

Notes

Serve with Basmati rice.
Sprinkle with chopped Coriander leaves before serving.
Works equally well with Lamb rather than Beef.
in which case use Lamb or Chicken stock.
